Last fall we asked you to partner with us to build a sixth home and a community center that would enable Ben’s Hope to serve far more people. In faith we prayed “Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory”. Ephesians 3:20
I want to pause to give God the glory. And also to thank you for responding. The Gathering Place, our 12,000 square foot community center, will be finished early June and our sixth home early 2017.
We celebrate the opening of the Gathering Place. Our Life Enrichment day program can grow to a projected 100 people over the next 3 years. The Church of Benjamin’s Hope can move home! Doors will be wide open to welcome you to have a cup of coffee and a visit!
What’s Next? Medicaid now covers 69 million people nationally. Yet, despite our national priority to care for individuals with need, countless people are slipping through the cracks.
As we consider the strategic and missional future of Benjamin’s Hope we think about hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people with disabilities in our community and the reality of scarce public funds insufficient to provide help.
We believe it is time for a pervasive paradigm shift. The care of the most vulnerable in our community is not our governments’ responsibility alone. Ben's Hope is attracting national attention as a thriving example of public private partnership and debt-free development.
Thank you for your faithful commitment. As we seek to lessen our reliance on public funding, we pray your generosity will continue.
