NOW HIRING

House Manager Position (Full-Time)

At Benjamin’s Hope, we believe every person is created with dignity, intelligence, and immeasurable value. Rooted in the Christian faith, our farmstead community is a place where people of all abilities live, learn, play, worship, and experience the abundant life together.

We are seeking a full-time House Manager to provide day-to-day leadership for one of our residential homes. This is an opportunity for a compassionate, capable leader to shape a home where residents are known, valued, safe, engaged, and supported toward greater independence and belonging.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct-care professionals

  • Ensure excellent, consistent, and person-centered resident care

  • Coordinate individual care plans, health supports, medications, appointments, and daily routines

  • Build trusted partnerships with residents, families, guardians, and clinical partners

  • Create a welcoming, engaging home environment filled with meaningful relationships and opportunities

  • Maintain strong documentation, regulatory readiness, and operational continuity

  • Model the Ben’s Hope Way through respectful relationships, sound judgment, accountability, and dependable follow-through

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Relevant experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential care, healthcare, direct care, or a related human-services setting

  • Experience leading, coaching, training, and holding team members accountable

  • Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and relationship-building skills

  • The ability to navigate changing priorities and urgent situations with calm and confidence

  • Alignment with the Christian mission and values of Benjamin’s Hope

Previous supervisory experience and direct care experience in licensed Adult Foster Care or community-based disability services are strongly preferred.

Because residential care happens around the clock, this position requires schedule flexibility, including participation in on-call and emergency support. The role also requires regular activity throughout residential and community settings and the ability to provide resident transportation.

If you are a relational leader who believes excellent care begins with honoring the whole person—and you want your work to make a meaningful difference—we would love to hear from you.

SIDEKICK POSITION (Part-Time or full-time)

Sidekicks have the opportunity to help our friends with many of their daily activities. Together you will plan and prepare meals, go shopping, maybe pick some tomatoes or cucumbers for a salad from our local garden. You’ll probably need to be helpful in personal matters, like bathing and such, or helping friends get dressed for the day. You will support friends as they take care of laundry and keep their home clean.

An important part of being a Sidekick is being a good friend. This may mean you take walks together, visit the horses and chickens, sing songs or help your friends learn to take care of their home. This job is about being together in meaningful ways. This may be the most important work you do in your life. You will be part of making life rich and full for your friends!

This is not an easy position, and there will be days that are very demanding. You will find yourself stretched and challenged, and (we are confident!) deeply blessed.

QUALIFICATIONS OF A SIDEKICK

  • Must be able to work alone and with a team.

  • Must dress and behave in a professional manner while having fun.

  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to work various shifts plus some weekends and holidays.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

A PERSON WHO MAKES A GREAT SIDEKICK

  • Full of fun and does not mind if they get a little dirty

  • A believer that all people can be successful

  • A quick thinker

  • Gentle and calm

  • Positive and enthusiastic

  • Willing to learn and try new things

  • Able to respond and react to crises with confidence

  • A person who enjoys all kinds of people and sharing information

  • Calm in difficult situations
